What makes a Dara Doodle Class So Great?

🧠 Science-Backed Methodology

"Every Activity Has a Purpose"

Every song, prop, and movement in our classes is carefully chosen based on Dr. John Feierabend's research into early childhood music development. We're building neural pathways that cross both hemispheres of the brain, making language learning, coordination, and confidence-building easier for your child's entire educational journey.

🤝 Active Parent Participation

"Building Family Traditions That Last"

The majority of our classes require parent and caregiver participation—and families tell us this is what they love most as they find themselves singing throughout the day. You'll learn songs and activities to continue at home, creating daily musical moments that strengthen your bond and support your child's development between classes.

Inclusive Musical Community

"No Experience Required, All Abilities Welcome"

You don't need to be musical to give your child musical gifts. Our inclusive approach will also give you the tools to find your rhythm, your voice and your own confidence. Many parents discover their own musical abilities and make lots of new friends, right alongside their children.

Yokey — Puppet Magic

"A Teaching Tool That Captures Hearts"

Meet Yokey, our beloved puppet friend who helps children practice turn-taking, overcome shyness, and engage in imaginative play. This unique teaching tool, born from a local craft fair discovery, has become a Dara Doodle signature that children request by name and remember long after they've outgrown our classes.

Welcome! I’m Dara Freimark (aka Dara Doodle). I help Westchester families strengthen bonds, spark confidence, and boost brain power through the magic of music — all in a judgment-free space where every voice is celebrated.
